Incoming Board Announced by APP

The Association of Payment Professionals (formerly MAC) voted in a slate of Directors for the upcoming 2023-25 term. These six individuals will be joining the Board or entering their second term starting June 1^st on a two-year term.

“We are excited to bring in such a talented and diverse group of individuals. Each brings a strength and skillset that the Board of Directors see contributing to the ongoing growth and development of our association,” said incoming Board President, Shari Savlick.

The new candidates are (in alphabetical order):

Ed Marshall (2nd term) Partner - Arnall, Golden, Gregory.  Ed will be starting his second consecutive term on the APP Board. He is a frequent presenter at APP events and a member of multiple committees. He currently serves on the Leadership Development and the Conference Program committees. He has been in the acquiring industry for more than 10 years and has been a member of APP for nearly a decade.
Tim Miller (1st term) SVP of Global Credit & Risk – Elavon Tim returns to the Board of Directors after serving on the board many years ago and as an advisor in recent years. Tim is a long-time APP member and has served on multiple councils/advisory groups with Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. With APP he has served on the original By-Laws and Branding Task forces and the Education Committee. He has been in the payment space for 40 years and a member of APP for 20+ years.
Tony Ogden (2nd term) Principal & Chief Counsel - BankCardLaw.com Tony will be starting his second consecutive term. He is a strong contributor to the Board and serves on the Governance Committee. Tony has also been a long-time member of the Government Relations Strategic Interest Group (SIG). He has been in the acquiring industry for 29 years and a MAC member since 2007.
David Press (1st term)  Global Head of Card Brand Relationships - Paysafe David is well-known in the payments community as a leader and a payments expert. He served as a card brand advisor on the APP Board for many years, is a frequent speaker at Level Up, and has contributed to the Conference Program Committee over the past year. He has been in the acquiring space for more than 40 years and a participant in APP for more than a decade.
Angela Ross (1st term) Chief Operations Officer - Preferred Payments Angela is a long-term volunteer who helped APP with outreach initiatives such as launching what eventually became the MAC Dispatch (now APP Dispatch). She brings both finance and marketing skills to the Board of Directors. She is currently a member of the Education Committee.  She has been in the acquiring industry for 18 years and an APP member for 12 years.
Dinah Suppes (1st term) VP, Risk & Compliance – IPPay Dinah is a well-respected member of the APP community. She is the Immediate Past President of the MWAA, which brings some additional industry perspective and association experience to the board. She is a strong contributor on the Membership Committee. She has been in the acquiring space for 30 years and a member of APP for more than a decade.
